In a world dominated by mass production and disposable fashion, I’ve always stood by one belief: design should be useful, beautiful, and built to last.

I'm Rishu Kumar, a trained product designer from NIFT Chennai, where I topped nearly six semesters driven by my love for detail, functionality, and premium material. But this isn’t just about design—it’s about a dream that started small and is still growing.

How It Began

Back in 2018, I took a bold step. After landing a well-paying job, I left it behind to build something of my own. The idea was clear:
Create a brand that delivers practical, premium leather goods without the inflated price tag.

And so, The Leather Chef was born—combining thoughtful design, long-lasting quality, and everyday usefulness.

The Journey So Far

Like many small businesses, we faced challenges—logistics issues, changing Meta algorithms, a shift away from COD, and navigating customer behavior in real-time.
